It's durable as hell... it's a baked on enamel finish. Motorcycle frames are powdercoated, if you need any idea of durability. It costs between $30 and $100 per rim depending on the shop and what color you want, and it can be done in a day, but no shop will get them done for you same day... they'll put them in their schedule and do them when they are running a short order run. Mine took a day and a half to do, but it took them 4 days just to get the right color powder in.

Did they remove your tires off the rims, or tid they just cover them? if you had to get them taken off at a tire store, how much did that run you to take them of and to put them back on?
Powder coating process explained.
Items go into cleaning tank, where all oils and such are removed. Then dried. Items are hung on wire and powder is sprayed on. It sticks due to static electricity. Then it goes into an oven (about 400 degrees) and is baked on. Cool down and part done.
So all paint must be removed. All decals. All rubber. All items must be totally disassembled.

Are you guys wheels FLAT black? It looks like there is a little clear coat over top, have not seen the OZ Supperlega or the Team Dynamics up close. I have the Konig Glides (flat black w/ no finish) Do you think that I could have them powder coated too? Without getting a shine to them from it?????

You can get any level of black shine from dull to Harley Davidson black. 60% gloss black is a deciendly dull black... it would shine in the sun a little bit, but for all intents and purposes would be like a matte or satin black. I don't know if I'd go any duller than that, but you can, there are flatter finishes... and mine wheels are the factory Si rims that are Anthracite, not black... here's a better pic... (My superleggys are still titanium)
