Sorry for bringing this back from the dead...
but I've got an answer.
PORTERFIELD
Shoe 517. You can get them in Race, Endurance Racing, and Street compounds. The race ones are around $130, the Street ones about $75.

whats the difference in performance between the 3 compounds?
do the race and endurance race shoes need to warm up befor they are any good? and is the street compound just a replacement for stock? or is it an upgrade like EBC Greenstuff....ect...
I ask because of an Idea that was given to me by a guy I race with.
He runs an 86 civic, and he was talking about Left foot braking and how it help bring the rear end around if done properly. He basically said that He runs stock front pads/rotor, and he upgraded the rear Drums and Shoes to bite better/resist fade better. The Idea is: our cars brake a whole lot better then they accelerate, and in autocross our stock brakes are pretty good (I havent experianced brake fade yet) so By leving the front stock and running performance shoes in the rear, he could get more out of left foot braking (It would be eaier to do) then if he was running upgraded pads in the front and stock on the rear.
Any thoughts?

Race is carbon kevlar. Often compared to Hawk HP+
The Endurace Race run cooler for extended length events
Street is a High performance pad for street driving (good friction even when cold) and limited track use... I've seen them compared to Axxis Metal masters.
