They make tires with protector beads that stick out further than the rim... Yokohama tires come with them, I don't know who elses. And look for rims that don't have spokes that hang out beyond the tire sidewall.

I have 215 Capital tires and they stick out a bit from the wheel and have protected the wheel from scraping.

they do make tires with rim guard. Which makes the tire stick out from the rim more. The rubber right around the rim usually is flush, but with rim guard it comes out like a 1/4 inch.

do you mean "cautious"? they would look pretty stupid but if it saves my wheels from getting curbed i'd buy it. no matter how big the space I find in the morning to parallel park in, its never that big when i get out of work and thats when it gets dangerous. they call trying to get in and out of spots around here "the boston bump" it sucks

i know the parada spec 2's have wheel protector beads on them but i just got new tires that came with the wheels, guess I should invest in some public transportation passes.

Get those curb scrapers that stick out from your bumper so you know when you're getting close. Old cars used to have those... they may look goofy, but if you want to save your rims... it may be worth it. They look like antennas, but they stick off the right side of the the front and back bumper.

Yeah, buy some curb feelers

Get some static grounding straps while you're at it

Just be careful when you park by the curb. I usually park like a foot away...lol I have the Parada Spec-2s but they're not gonna help a whole lot if you scrape the curb.
