Anyone running 195/65r15 for Winter?
Anyone running 195/65r15 for Winter?
15" rims will fit, and the Continental Viking 7 does not come in a 215/60r15" size, hence the 195/65r15

So has anyone run 195/65r15 for winter 1.32% out so about 1 mph slower at 60 mph and of course 1/2 mile per hour slower at 30 mph, and the tread width isn't that far off of the 215's and there is more variation in tread width between manufactures of the same size, than a 195 to a 215 if you compare a bunch of tires
So, why spend extra money for nothing, when the Continental Viking 7 195/65r15 tires are $90.00 a piece less, and the 15" rims are $20.00 a piece less
So $440.00 less vs 16", and they have a bit narrower tread for slush and snow and a higher sidewall for winter potholes, and most people minus size for winter anyway
I always use steelies since I broke an Alloy rim and would have been forced to buy a set of 4 alloys, as aftermarket rims are discontinued quicker that I-phones, so I replaced the alloys with steelies years ago on previous cars
Steelies all look the same for replacement, less expensive, and will be covered in crap all winter anyway, and you don't have to worry about curb rash, as sometimes you don't know where the curb is, under the snow
Also if you hit something with a $50.00 throw away steelie, it will destroy the rim, and not the suspension to a degree, depending on hard you hit of course
Blizzak doesn't even make the top 8 here, as The Norwegian automobile Federation only pick the top 8, it was mentioned in a previous publication that it didn't make the cut, I can't find
The Norwegian automobile Federation is the Grand Poobah of winter tires tests and the ones who caught Nokian cheating with ringers
If you are a Nokian fan like I was, don’t bash back
Simply Google 2 words, (Nokian cheated) and all will be revealed
Continental Viking 7 is the least expensive and the best, and this is really why I want them, any willing to go to legnths to get it

Here’s where the Viking 7 non - studded tire came in 3rd place when they put it in the studded tire test for fun, they called it the joker so no one would know what they were testing, it also tied the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9 studded tire for 3rd place

I don't know why tire rack rack would offer a 15" size?
If you choose optional tire sizes here?

Nokian is in trouble to get production, since most of the tires were made in Russia...
Tires Rack always tests, so they are pretty much almost always right on fitments (can't say for sure, since I don't own hundreds of car models
