'25 Sport Touring Hybrid, Disappointed
'25 Sport Touring Hybrid, Disappointed
I go back many years and many generations of Civics. Purchased my first in '97, kept her for about 15 trouble free years. I leased another in 2020, then 2023, and just two days ago I leased the '25 ST Hybrid. At first glance it's a beauty. Blue lagoon pearl, grey interior. Received what I think was a great deal. Rides smooth and quiet. All was well until today, when I first had a chance to get into the manual and look around the car. Two features, or rather lack of features, soured me on Honda.
The first is a minor issue: on this particular model Honda didn't include, or offer as an option, a mirror that connects to the garage door opener. Yeah, I can use the remote control that comes with the door, but it seems to me the top-of-the-line trim should include this feature. It has in the past.
The second issue is, at least for me, much more problematic. . .no XM radio?? What were the bean counters thinking with this move. This has me in a tizzy. I listen to the radio every time I'm in the car. Am I missing something? OK, rant over. . .

Re: '25 Sport Touring Hybrid, Disappointed
Yeah, I understand that many people have the Sirius app on their phone. I do, and while I can play it on the infotainment center, unless I'm missing something I'm not able to use the steering wheel controls or even the controls on the radio. If I'm driving I can't be fiddling with the app to change channels. Not a deal breaker, but Honda appears to have cut some corners on what is their top trim of their iconic Civic line. Home Link mirror is gone, and if I'm not mistaken my '23 Touring had 3 charging stations. The hybrid has only one.
On the other hand, the ride is smooth as a baby's bottom, and the instant acceleration puts the turbo in my previous Civic to shame.

I had a '16 Civic Touring for a while. No HomeLink for garage doors either. I was also disappointed. It was fairly easy to add one from an Odyssey/Pilot. Not sure if that's still the case.
