Where do I find the Motor Current Sensor?

I have a 2007 Civic Hybrid. Code gives me a P15A5 which is a motor current sensor malfuction. According to what i read online the 2007 was apparently known to develop a faulty sensor. Question where is this sensor located?

Take out the back seat
Find harness connector(s) on passengers side where the seat cushion was
take apart connectors and inspect for evidence of moisture entry (terminal corrosion)

Ok, checked connections and no apparent moisture damage.

Looks like the current sensor is built into the MCM.
Do you have ANY other fault codes to report?

Re: Where do I find the Motor Current Sensor?

The Honda trouble shooting guide says either the motor power cable may be faulty or the “MCM” is faulty. Can anyone tell me if the MCM is the same thing as the PDU?

and no additional fault codes but to add to the story. The story goes that when I bought this car they said they had just replaced the engine before having ima battery issues. I’ve traced the wiring going from the pdu to the engine and everything looks like it’s hooked up correctly. I even unhooked to check to see if there was a bent pin or something apparent.

Electrically, no. But I looked in the parts catalogs at the pdu. There's a rather large item in the image that's not really identified, but looks suspicious
There's a whole mess of IMA related control units right behind the back seat.
I just looked at a wiring diagram, the mcm is well hidden, but its harness plug is exposed. Hard to say exactly where it's located as the photo was taken a bit too close and i don't have an 07 hybrid here with the ima stuff exposed, for reference.

Pay close attention to all of the HIGH VOLTAGE and YOU CAN BE KILLED warnings in the car and the service info. That ****'s real.

Honda dealer online parts catalog has lots of "pictures" sometimes helps figuring that out, .
Hondas wiring diagrams with actual location photos can be super helpful too but the parts catalogs are much easier to find online
