Hello all,
I've done some research on installing a tachometer in an '03 DX, and I've determined the best option for me is to swap out the instrument cluster. I've got 2 questions: will anything need to be done to the wiring, or is it just plug n play? 2nd, how difficult is it to swap the speedometer between the two, as I'd like to retain the mileage. I should note that I'm planning on getting this cluster off of ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/324645249801

95% sure you can't swap the odometer over.

You have to swap entire gauges.

Also, if you get a gauge with less mileage than you have now, you have to correct it to the right.mileage for your car. You have to research how to do that.

What I did was just use my old gauge until it was within 1.mile of the new gauge, and then wired everything up to tue new gauge. It is NOT plug and play. You have to rewire the wires.

What wires did you have to rewire? I've just completed the swap and everything works but the gas gauge. I know the gauge itself works because when I do a cluster test it moves just fine.
