1999 Civic A/C issue
1999 Civic A/C issue
I am having a strange issue with my Civic. When the car is cold the A/C works great. But once it warms up (approx 10 min) the compressor clutch will shut off as soon as you give it throttle. But as long as you let it idle the A/C will stay on. The pressures when the compressor is on are 35-40 psi on the low side and 200 psi for the high side.
I can check the red wire going to the compressor clutch and confirmed that when i give it throttle I'm dropping voltage to my clutch. I've tried to switch the clutch relay with the condenser fan relay and I get the same result. I can feel the relay click when the clutch is energized. I'm hoping someone has some suggestions as to what I am missing.
I have replaced the following:
- Compressor
- evaporator
- condenser coil
- expansion valve
- pressure switch
- receiver drier
The original issue is still there.
