Question Heater Unit (Replace Deteriorated Foam on Flaps)

So like an idiot I did not pay attention to how the flaps were positioned when I took apart the heater unit to replace the foam that was falling off and blowing in my face.
The unit itself is discontinued.

Anyone have any pointers for making sure the flaps are in the right position as I reassemble the unit?
