Transmission fluid still serviceable?

Ignore the faint black lines, they aren’t from the dipstick/fluid.

I’m having some (seemingly minor) issues with my car that I’m trying to diagnose until I can visit my mechanic, so I’m want to take a step back and start with the basics. My car was purchased used from a private seller earlier this month and has a little over 86000mi, and I don’t know when the fluid was last changed.

It doesn’t smell burnt, and I don’t feel any grit rubbing it between my fingers. I can’t see color very well, so I’m not sure if it’s a pinkish color or just a really light brown, but comparing the napkin to the picture I can see that the image is a good representation.

Thanks in advance for any help.
