Do we rely on Maintenance Minder for transmission fluid change

so w/ the manual, it says if transmission fluid need to be change, the maintenance minder will show a no. "3" on it

w/ my older car, there was no sensor, so back in those days, and we usually replace it every 50k km

with my 2010 Civic Si, the last change was at 71k km. And it has just pass 120k km. Should we rely on the Maintenance Minder to show that "3" ?

Needless to say, w/ motor oil, I rely on the maintenance minder, so I figure the sensor of the transmission fluid should be just as accurate. What do you people do?

It is almost certainly based on distance traveled and not some quality sensor in the trans. That is what Honda deemed acceptable so I would just wait for it to tell you to replace it.
