Rat getting in my 06 civic sedan
Rat getting in my 06 civic sedan
I parked our "back up car" 2006 civic sedan on the side of the house over the holidays. When I went to move it back to the driveway yesterday morning it was clear that a rat has taken up residence in the car. Chewed foam from the back seats piled up. Rat droppings here and there. Acorns in the glove box.
I cleaned up the mess and put a single peanut on the backseat bench. Windows rolled up.
This morning, the peanut was gone and there were a half dozen new droppings.
So, Mr Rat must be able to get in and out of the car with the windows rolled up. Where should I be looking for a rat entry point? Undercarriage somewhere? No evidence of damage or acorns in the engine bay, luckily.
I put some peanut butter on the bait pedal of a rat trap and set it on the backseat, with the trap not set, so Mr. Rat can get one last treat before I re-bait and set the trap.
Any advice on possible entry points would be greatly appreciated.
