Help: what part was stolen from my car?

I’ve had a few car breakins, but this is the first time I’ve had an actual car part taken out. It looks like the panel under the dashboard on the driver’s side was removed and there’s now a bunch of exposed wiring. This is a Honda Civic 2014, pictures are attached. Thank you for any assistance on this!

Maybe they were trying to steal the car by "hot wiring" it. If you go to a junkyard that panel will be like $10. Dealer will want considerably more

Have you personally ever seen the "missing" panel under the dash before? Maybe it never came with a panel under the dash, many don't.
Whomever installed that accessory didn't secure and hide all the extra wires good enough
