Maybe fan issue

CIVIC COUPE LX 07

When I start the car the fan makes a loud noise . It happens the most when it's cold (winter). But recently it has happened in warm weather occasionally.

Anyone knows what is the problem? and how to fix it?

It sounds like when your car started and you turn the key again. It's a sharp loud noise. Thats the best way to describe it.

Re: Maybe fan issue

Sounds like a starter solenoid sticking. Only happens for a second immediately after the engine starts. Most of the time it starts over winter and if neglected long enough can start happening in the summer as well.

Check the starter or take it to a mechanic.

Mechanic says the issue is the starter. But it's safe to leave it as it is, he says.
