B18c GSR swap

Got a 94 Del Sol Si, auto trans with a D16Y8. Car is stock with no mods at all.

Looking to pickup a B18 to swap into it, but wanna keep the auto trans cause I don't wanna daily a manual around a military base, especially as I start adding on more power over X amount of months.

I know jdm gsr's had auto transmissions but what are my odds that they line up to my stock drivetrain and all? Just plug n play with little modification or should I just leave the swap idea aside and build and boost my D16?

And yes I know jdm stuff is gonna be expensive, not to worried about that.

Re: B18c GSR swap

No point having a sporty car if its auto.

Converted mine auto to manual, never going back (until I'm old and physically can't press the clutch).

Make is a manual especially if you want to add power. Auto will suck for that.

Re: B18c GSR swap

I’m nitpicking like hell when I say this, but I just wanted to clarify something.

Do you want the B18C or the GSR engine? The B18C is the Type R engine, and the GSR is a B18C1. Only want to clarify because your budget will change substantially.

Also, just swap to a manual if you want any real power. Or if you have the space, find a cheap civic or something like that to swap, then you can have a daily and a project.
