I copied this picture from another post so I didn't have to go take another one, but here's my question. What opens the valve on this? I see the lever on top and my car has it- 2001 ex coupe. But I don't see anything that is connected to that top lever that actually opens it. Is my car missing something? I wasn't getting hot air, so I flushed the system, changed the thermostat, yada yada yada. Saw that there was a control valve and looked up a replacement and they all look like this picture .Even hondapartsnow has the par, but it shows nothing connected to it to actually open the lever.
I am sure I am missing something, I just don't know what.
I appreciate the help in advance. If there is another post that I didn't see that addresses this, please direct me.
Thanks!
Found it. Looks like a blue cable that wasn't attached. I put it on and will test it tomorrow. That being said, is there something that is supposed to be there to keep it on. It's looped and tight on there, but didn't know if anything was supposed to be on top of it, like a grommet, to keep it in place.
It's number 16 in the picture below. On HondaPartsNow.com it's under electrical/exhaust/heater/fuel -> heater unit. It doesn't really show how it connects to the water valve. I cannot remember if it just loops around or if there is something else holding it on.
