Low heat at idle

Can anyone tell me if its normal for a civic to blow cooler at idle then at higher rpms . It seems that at lower rpms my civic blows cooler then when I'm driving .

Check the coolant level. Water pump could be failing

Here's a good read on no heat at idle https://rustyautos.com/no-heat-at-idle/

You can check the strength of the water-pump by removing the radiator cap at cold start. Start and run the engine until it reaches operating temp. With the cap still off cautiously look into the radiator neck and watch for flow (current in one direction) at idle. Take a video of the flow and post it here.

Coolant system bleed is likely needed.

Re: Low heat at idle

Thermostat stuck open? Use a scan tool to read coolant temp. Should be 180F+ at all times after fully warmed up.
