My 07 civic 4 door LX is not draining the condensation from the evaporator. Its collecting inside and running on the floor board. Last week I used my air compressor and blew the line out from below....it worked...but its back again.

Anyone have a breakdown of the dash or how I can get to the drain inside ? I am thinking I am going to pull the fan motor and see if that gets me close.

Blowing an obstruction back up into the heater case just gave it a chance to plug up again later on.

The evap core is inside the top of the heater case, in the middle of the dash.
Accessing/removing the evaporator won't give you access to the drain though IIRC.

To pull the heater case, you must pull the dashboard.
One heck of a lot of work if you ask me.

I don't really know of any cheats that would gain access to the drain area of the heater case.

Is the cabin filter intact? Where would any debris have come from?

Yes, the cabin filter is still there. I just pulled it and checked it out. I understand that the crap that clogged it up still might be in there. But you should always try the easy and cheap first ! I think sometimes there could be a slim buildup in there. Kinda like your home AC does....sometimes it just slims up and drys up...overtime it gets solid.

Didja try going after it with a pick up tool through the (drain) hole in the floor (bottom of the housing)?

I was thinking of one of these



with a set of fingers on the end, like this


Maybe you could grab the obstruction and pull it out, or break it up.
