a/c not as cold as before

not sure if this is the right place to post this thread, but anyway..
my car had this funky smell before and i was told to replace my cabin filters.. yesterday i went out to buy a new pair and popped them in.. now my ac doesn't feel as cold as before..
i used to be able to turn it on slightly and i can feel the cold breeze. never had to turn it on that high cause i wouldnt be able to stand it.. yesterday, i kept turning the fan up cause the a/c just wasnt as cold enough.. almost half way before i can feel it..
is there a break-in period for cabin filters?

im not sure...but i think you may need to recharge your feron in your ac system...its coming down to summer time and alot of the time if you dont use your ac alot the feron in the system will be discharged.....

is it freon ? or feron? anyways.. I have this problem too.. except my A/c is really moody.. ever since i had my car.. it will blow cold one day and the next day it wont be nearly as cold as it is.. i took it to the dealership and they told me it was blowing at 42 degrees.. =/ i dont think so.. but my car is black so it heats up reallllly fast so that could be a factor...

btw sorry if im thread jacking i was going to put up same thread

^^ yea sorry about my spelling.......

but i would go t o your dealership and ask em if then can do a ac system diag or inspection. test out the pressure...see if there is any leaks or anything like that.

my aunty had this problem to her 04 maxima...and i took it to my work and just found out that the freon in here ac system has been discharged and just needed to be recharged with some new r134 freon......

this isnt something you can do at home unless you buy the right diag tools(costs about 5 grand for the recharge, vacuum, discharge machine) or if you have your own ac pressure line guages to see if there is a leak in your system or not.

did you make sure you installed correctly . Their are arrows on the filters that should flow a certain direction.
