No crank No start.. starter just spins
Here's the layout..... 2004 Honda Civic ex Vtec
My wife sister was driving down the street when she came to complete stop at the light. She says she put her foot on the pedal to accelerate and it was extremely sluggish, it didn't wanna go so she pulled over and cut the vehicle off let it sit for a few minutes and it wouldn't cut back on.. So far I've changed all spark plugs with brand new coils, changed the starter and camshaft sensor bought a brand new battery and ignition and fuel relays and still nothing. I am completely stumped over this one guys

So, what is it doing? Cranking but not starting? Does the cranking sound normal, or is it sluggish? Can you hear the fuel pump prime?
Re: No crank No start.. starter just spins
I do hear the pump priming. I also wanna say i dont believe it has a crank when i try to turn the engine on i hear the starter spinning nothing else not even a jolt out of the vehicle.. I feel a jolt if i try to jump it with my other vehicle but still no crank no start.. sorry for the late response i was at work

So the starter isn't engaging the flywheel?
pull the starter and have a look at the flywheel

First, get the battery tested (parts store) and fully charged. If that doesn't solve the issue then pull the starter, visually inspect the gear and hook it up to a 12v source or bring it to a parts store to be tested. The most likely scenario is the starter's gear is no longer moving forward enough to engage with the flywheel. If that's s not the issue then it's the starter's gear and/or the flywheel is stripped or missing teeth.
