01-02' Defective Clutch Packs??

Anyone have an 2001 or 2002 civic with an automatic transmission?? Have a problem with my tranny and someone told me those two years honda ****ed up on the clutch pack, and there might be a petition going around to have them fixed. Anyone know anything on this?? Takes a min for car to shift like its trying to double clutch itself.

Check to see if there are any TSBs out for the issue? In my opinion though I bet you are out of luck trying to get Honda to replace the parts or give you a new transmission for your 7-8 year old car.

Research how auto transmissions work. They do have clutch packs.

Re: 01-02' Defective Clutch Packs??

well they do actually lol. i have an 02 auto and yes theres defective parts inside. some of the clutch packs wear out fast and cause the slipping you describe. just drive it til it wont shift anymore and then get a new one. honda knows about it, sometimes if you call corporate they will pay part of the repair bills if you dont have that many miles on it. all thats out for it is a TSB which dealers do not have to fix for free if the car is out of warranty.

OP never used the word "clutch" without attaching "pack" to it.
