Re: Transmission slip

Try changing the fluid, drain and fill 3x, no flushing.
probably needs a new trans though

Re: Transmission slip

Thanks appreciate the quick response any thoughts on the solenoids being plugged eating cleaned thought about giving that a shot and changing the fluid flushing yet not flushing if you know what I mean rinsing I guess. Tranny fluid looks brand new not burnt feels good smells good no metal shavings clean as a whistle I'm wondering if previous owner did a tranny flush which pushed everything Gunk up into the sensors. Never do a tranny flush unless you start out with a vehicle brand new and do regular flushes at the recommended mileage from new but if you have an older vehicle that you know nothing about or has never been flushed if you flush it you push up in your transmission that's an experience with that when I was much younger and was talked into a flush on my Chevy van Toyota training place they drove it around a bit did some colds with the gas pedal and driving it and fix it for me instantly not thinking that's going to be as easy with this

Re: Transmission slip

If the fluid is new ,that means they already changed it because of this problem. You can do the tests to see if any of the shift solenoids have weak clicks, but its likely the trans is on its way out. Same thing happened to me. Whatever you do dont buy a used trans.
