Brand new and stressing

So I recently purchased a ek and the front panel gap between the hood and the grille is terrible. I believe it’s from a bent radiator frame but i have no idea of how i would reform it without damaging anything else.

The answer is carefully. Typically that happens from a relatively hard front end collision. I’d verify nothing else is damaged before proceeding.

Not at all i’m brand new to the car scene, still in highschool. But I do know plenty of people who know all the ins and outs of a civic.

It wasn’t from a collision looks like a jack or a brick had pushed on the bottom. hood doesn’t fully latch and can’t open it without someone putting weight on top.

Re: Brand new and stressing

Potentially someone jacked up the car on the rad support and bent it, either they used the wrong spot or the rad support is rotten/weak.

I’m positive it’s a bent rad support, so what should i do, at a minimal cost?

Buy a new car.
Swapping a rad support is a big job that takes a lot of time and effort. You have to drill out a ton of spot weld and then weld the new one back in, while keeping everything aligned.

Re: Brand new and stressing

i would suggest selling - those questions should have been asked before buying...
