Hit a Pole. Worth the Repair?

Hey Everyone! I hopped a curb the other day and took down a median pole . I posted the car to part out and the response has been overwhelming. Do you guys have any idea if the damage is repairable? Is it worth it or should I just part it out? Thanks guys I appreciate it!

Engine starts and runs fine.

That’s a part out. B16’s are pretty valuable assuming that’s what it is. If I were you, find an EX or another 6th gen and swap it all over.

rear quarter panel is large and difficult.
the damage on the lower suspension mount is even worse.

I agree. That's way too much damage to pay for adequate repairs on the cheap. The money spent could buy you a "new" car. The only exception might be if the car had serious sentimental value to you, and you have lots of extra $$ lying around.

Re: Hit a Pole. Worth the Repair?

Find a clean shell and swap in the drivetrain and any other good parts. Otherwise part out/sell

Thanks for the advice. I'm a student so unfortunately don't have the time or money, otherwise I would take on the project. I've got some offers to sell as whole. Are you able to ball park a reasonable price you think the car's worth? offers seem to be sitting around $2000 CAD. Much appreciated!

I’d say it’s worth that at most. Drivetrain is probably worth $1500 assuming it’s relatively decent mileage. Interior might fetch $500 or so. I’d probably take that if I were in your situation.

Ahh yeah my bad I should've specified. 2000 EM1 SiR (us Si) B16A2 under the hood VINs matching, nothing messed with besides intake, genuine type r ek9 titanium shift ****, cat delete. Original Si alloys on yokohama advans would be sold with it.

Re: Hit a Pole. Worth the Repair?

Yeah, that's pretty much all it's worth then. I guess it depends on where you live, but I can make a quick boot over near Vancouver and get clean ones for $3500-$4000.
