Throttle cutting/capped
Throttle cutting/capped
I have a 1996 civic with the y8 head that has recently been having some throttle and (I’m guessing) fuel issues. I would notice that as I gave it gas the throttle would entirely cut out as if I yanked my foot off and then about a second later it would jerk back and keep going. I changed the fuel filter thinking I had solved it and it was fine for a while until it did it again to the point where the car died and would occasionally start. Not starter or battery related because it wouldn’t even rolling start. I changed spark plugs and the problem persisted and just changed fuel injectors today. After a short amount of test driving I haven’t noticed the problem (not to say it’s gone) but it wouldn’t accelerate past about half throttle even with the pedal to the floor. Any thoughts or ideas? CEL codes are p0141 and p0453 but have been there since I’ve had the car just haven’t gotten around to them. Im pretty new with cars but am trying my best anything would help
