New here and I have a 1997 civic and a slight oil leak. Noticed the small oil leak at the vtech solenoid, ordered a NEW one with a NEW gasket and unfortunately I’m still having a leak, except it’s now incredibly WORSE.😩
went to the dealership and got Honda Bond and waited 24hrs (suggested 15-16hrs) and still leaking.
any suggestions on how to fix it cause I’m losing my mind😅

Is it coming from above the solenoid? Like from the valve cover? Or camshaft end plug?

no it’s leaking from the base (the bottom part of the vtec solenoid) the top left side after attaching it back to motor is where I can see the oil pushing up after attaching it and using HondaBond. (Let it sit for 24hrs) and it was still leaking out.


The area that’s circled is where oil is coming from when attached to motor.
but it isn’t leaking out of the top part of the solenoid
