Question about camshaft replacement.
My civic needed a camshaft replacement. I ordered one from eBay and it is a little different than the one I removed... I noticed the one I took out had an R4 stamp on it. The one I installed had the stam R5 on it. Wondering if I'm going to have any issues when I try to fire this thing up when I'm done?? Please help. Thanks in advance!

what engine you have in there, what head do you have in it and what camshaft did you buy?
at this point in life, a civic can have had a different engine installed. some heads are possible to be swapped in.

d16y8I bought it off of eBay. It just said it fits civics 96-00. It looks very similar. A few of the tabs on it are a little diff. Sorry for the lack of technical terminology... The stamp said r5 instead of r4 which was on the damaged one I removed...
As far as the head im not sure. How do I tell? It's stock/OEM. I'll take a pic of the old one and point out the tab I noticed was diff. Thanks for the reply.
