I recently purchased a 2000 Honda Civic EX, and the engine was completely taken apart. I reassemble all of it but I h make a question about a particular part. It looks like it connects to the evap surge tank line and from there to the intake duct. What does this do and is it in the correct location?

Air assist valve, should go to the intake manifold somewhere. Below is all I can find in the parts diagram, not very helpful.
