99 Civic ex broken into and now wont start

99 Civic ex broken into and now wont start Someone had broken into my civic the other day and when I looked the car was on and had a shaved down kia key jammed into the ignition. We managed to turn off the engine but not the electricals. After a little while we ended up just pulling out the key and buying a new ignition cylinder lock, the part where you insert the key, but after installing it the car still wont start. I have 0 clue why. any help?

There are so many reasons it wouldn't start after being broken into. Let's start with the basics. Will it crank? Were any wires under the hood screwed with? Wires under the dash screwed with? It sounds more serious than just a key being jammed into the ignition.
