car won't start after ignition cylinder repair

I followed instructions in a video on YouTube to remove the lock cylinder to have it rebuilt as the key was not working. I got that done, replaced all of the components and now the car won't start. Do I have to reset the computer? I am at my wits end and don't want to take it to a dealer.

What exactly got replaced?
What does the dashboard do when you try to start it?
What does the car do when you try to start it?
We can't see what you're seeing, you need to be more descriptive

Ignition lock cylinder was removed, repinned and replaced. All electronics re-installed on ignition assembly. Key functions normally, dash is normal, radio operates. Motor turns over but sounds like it stumbles about every two seconds. It worked perfectly before ignition locked up. I am wondering if it has something to do with the vehicle security.

What is the green key symbol on the dash doing while you're cranking?
how many times/how long have you been trying to start the car? It might be flooded, check if the spark plugs are fouled/soaked

If it were immobilizer, it'd crank forever without actually firing.

That is basically what it is doing. I am headed to where I have it stores and will take pictures.

Re: car won't start after ignition cylinder repair

It's an immobilizer issue then. That key worked prior to the ignitioncylinder repair?

you will need to call a locksmith that can program the key to the ECU
