Squeak in hood hinge

I recently noticed a squeak in one of the hood hinges. I only have 6,000 mi on the car. What is the best way to control that type of squeak?

Either WD40 or some white lithium grease...grease may be messy but it lasts for a while, should help too!

NO NO NO don't use WD-40, thats a "Water Displacment" type lube, that where the "WD" came from. All that stuff will do is eat though the orginal grease thats there and after a while it will dry out and squeek again before long, and make a mess. Use a Silcon spray or a White Lithium based grease. Read your owners manual, it will tell you.
