If this is in the wrong place, please advise and move accordingly.
I tried to do a search and apparently have the wrong wording, please help.
The window goes up and down fine, but the auto part doesn't work. I tried a new switch and the same thing happens it works, but the auto feature doesn't. I saw some videos about re-programming the feature in the ecu by holding it down at the bottom for 2 seconds and up at the top for 2seconds. Is that accurate? Is there something else up?
2001 honda civic ex coupe.

Not going to hurt anything by trying it.the 6th gen civics didn't need to be programmed. Never had to do a regulator on a 7th gen

On rockauto a couple regulators specify no auto feature. Maybe that's your problem.

Use the Honda regulator. Mine had an aftermarket that behaved the same way and when it broke, I put a Honda unit in there. Window now has the auto feature.
