Arrow Need a "How-to" for replacing Hood Latch

Current hood latch is damaged, as well as hood from an accident. I have a brand new OEM hood latch to install once I swap the hood out. I want to note that the cable is NOT broken. Just need to know what's all involved in changing this thing. I did search but got nothing really for what I was looking for.

The service manual shows exactly how to replace the hood latch.

This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you. Also, do I NEED to remove the bumper to do this?

Probably way easier if you do, at minimum you'll need to remove the clips at the top where the grille is.

Inspect that hood latch cable closely for straightness and no crush marks.
If it fails on you, it’s quite a operation to snake a “suitable tool” to activate the latch.
