I have a 2002 honda accord 4 door ex and the drivers side window was giving me a hard time between going up/down I eventualy just stopped using it untill I could fix it. However the other day my 4 year old hit the button and you guessed it I could not get it back up.
I looked on line and fiqured out how to get window back up. I took everything appart and got the whole assemply out. My question is?? Is it possible that it could have been the switch which I did not check before I went through the hassle of taking the mechanism out??

2002 honda civic 4 door the passenger side window does not roll up/down with either switch and no noise either.


How do I fix these ? Where can i order parts? I looked on e bay and found the motor along with the window mechanism looks like its all one piece.

The window track rubber seals (run channel seals) get loaded with dirt and grime, causes the windows to get slow and drag. Spray silicone lubricant helps those a lot. Use it whenever the windows get slow to roll up.


Diagnosis is up to you.

You MIGHT be able to swap the 3 passengers window switches around to check those,

but you will probably have to diagnose if the master switch is working right.

Wiring diagram and voltmeter.


Quite often, a bad window switch just feels a little bit odd or wrong when you use it.


Switches, any dealer can get them.
