Rust on back window panel

I have some rust on the back window there's the window that doesn't roll down and the one that does. There's a metal panel in the back and it's starting to rust is there a replacement panel or do I need to sand it putty it and sand and than paint it?

Re: Rust on back window panel

Best way to beat rust-replace the part. If you can't do that because it's cost prohibitive, remove parts until you can see and access the entire rust patch. Then Sand it all off, use a rust to metal converter, prime with anti rust primer, and paint. Even then it might come back. If it's bad enough to use bondo on, I wouldn't even bother treating it but I hate body filler.

Re: Rust on back window panel

Need more information on your car to find the part for you.

This is for an 05 4 door DX:

Only place you will find this is at a junkyard or the dealer (local or the website I posted). You can try ebay but i highly doubt you will be able to find it.

Re: Rust on back window panel

Go to a junkyard and show them what you need. I'm pretty sure they'll be able to find you one.
