Side Mirror Switch Illumination
Side Mirror Switch Illumination
Greetings,
I have a 2002 HondaCivic EX sedan. The side mirror switch that is adjacent to the moonroof switch on the left hand side of the car near the change holder does not illuminate. Is it supposed to illuminate? If so, I believe I read that the bulb is soldered to the switch. A new switch is around $60. The switch itself works fine, it is just the illumination. Can a new bulb be easily soldered back on? Is the bulb easy to find in a store? The Honda dealership does not list a bulb replacement part for this so it would be something I would have to find at a parts store.
Thanks for any guidance you can offer,
DuBose Griffin

Re: Side Mirror Switch Illumination
you can pop it open and solder a new bulb yes. its fairly easy to do but you will have to take the old bulb to the auto store to match it. be sure it is not too bright or it will overpower the other dash lights.
