Question IS it worth it to try and repair a damaged bumper?

To make a long story short I have a rear bumper cover that was damaged and there is a big crack/hole on one side of it. I have replaced it with a new one already but I was contemplating what to do with the old one, Try and patch it and paint it, or chop it up and dump it. The damage is pretty bad as there is a big hole in it, so I just wanted to get your opinion.

Thanks.

Yeah it would just be for ***** and giggles. I actually wouldn't mind repairing it, then just priming it to re-sell to somebody on the forums or something. I'm not trying to take it to the body shop though. Or if it comes out really good, I might just put it back on and sell the one that I bought...lol

Re: IS it worth it to try and repair a damaged bumper?

I really wouldnt say its worth it in the short run. If you plan on fixing bumpers in your spare time then it will make sence. But the materials are kind of pricey to only do it once. But hey, ya never know- you might have to fix your bumper more then once, or a freind/family members. Working on the one you have now is an exelent application to start with.

As for how to do it, without going to the body shop:
I found this resource a long time ago and always go back to it for all my automotive needs. 3m is one of the companys I will always trust when buying stuff from, great company. here is the link to their automotive section, they have everything bodyshops use to fix your bumper, or anything else on your car, enjoy!
