Hi!

I have a 2002 LX coupe, manual transmission, stock components except stereo deck. And around 2 months ago I noticed something really weird. Check this out. There is a buzzing\vibrating noise coming from somewhere near the passenger side. It only happens when I let off the accelator at around 3000 rpm, on 2, 3, 4, or 5th gear. If I have the gas pedal pressed the noises goes away and come right back when I let off the pedel, and it only happens on high RPMs. I don't have any idea where but the sound is definitely coming from the passenger side of the car, near the door. Has anyone seen this problem? Or any ideas on how I can debug this problem further.... thanks

I have the same problem, but mine occurs when i'm accelerating and i hit 2750rpm. The wierd thing is, it only happens when the car has warmed up a bit. I had an appoinment to have it checked out at Honda, but guess what before the appointment, it stops. WTF.

Acutally you are right the problem does occur at 2750rpm and only after it warms up a bit, what model civic do you have?

Its a 2002 LX Coupe. I'm taking it in tomorrow to get it checked out...for the second time.

What they told me was it was comming from the dashboard. They said they'd have to open the whole dash apart and it wouldn't be done in a day. So if I dropped it off on Friday, I would have gotten my car back on Monday afternoon. But I needed my car on the weekend, so I didn't leave the car with them.
