Angry OBD2 Communication Error After Belt Broke

2004 Honda Civic LX , I was backing out of my driveway engine started to act up smoke came up from under hood I pulled back up the driveway shut the engine off open the hood found belt was burnt off The AC pulley froze , got a belt to bypass AC pulley , started engine, Check engine light was on, no response from the RPM gauge no temperature reading green key flashing engine running rough like no power, hooked up ODB ll code reader got connections error check connections I did and still reads the same ODB getting power

not a diy, moved, made title more descriptive

check for damaged, broken, melted wiring under the hood that the belt may have damaged, sounds like maybe a ground issue

Ty, it fried the electronic magnetic, blew the condenser fuse , I replaced the fuse and I disconnected the AC plug-in, still have same issue

Unbolt the battery and verify the thick wire going into the alternator didn’t get yanked out of the back of the alternator.

Recheck that both the alternator 12mm mounting bolts are good and tight.

I bet you didn't tighten all of the alternator bolts.
Doing so can quickly cause permanent damage to the PCM.

But I did, had to loosen them to replace the belt w/o AC then tighten them back up, then rechecked after started the engine run for few mins then shut off
