Car Alarm Problem

Car Alarm Problem

I have a 2010 Lx Civic I recently changed my door actuator the old ones motor was not working so it couldn’t unlock from the key fob I changed the motor and now it works from the key fob to unlock and lock but now when I lock the doors from the key fob or manually from the door panel my alarm does not arm anymore the red light on the dash to say armed doesn’t come on and the alarm no matter what I do doesn’t go off can anyone help me with this?

Plug in the original latch/lock unit. Trip the latch and lock by hand. Does the alarm set now?

Thanks doing this helped me figure out that something in the door actuator was telling my car that it’s still open my door open light would even come on when I closed the doors and locked them

Aaahh....look for broken door jamb (dome light) switch.
