Honda Civic MK8 2007 alarm module location

Hi, i just bought a Honda Civic MK8 2007, i've had a few strange episodes involving the alarm system, 1st was that i just got in the car maybe half an hour after driving it last, couldn't unlock it so i had to use the key, the alarm wenton and wouldn't switch off, there was no sound though, only hazard lights going on and off all the way home, after this i've seen it turning on and off the hazards just once whenever it feels like it, in both cases i've smelt something like burned plastic, so i've decided id check the wiring, thing is i have no idea where the alarm module is, i even bought a repair manual and can't even find it there, nothing useful on the internet either, any help? Also any tips and suspected causes are appreciated.

Re: Honda Civic MK8 2007 alarm module location

I would guess an aftermarket alarm, they're usually behind the lower dash trim under the steering wheel, or the driver's kick panel
