key only working intermittently
Hi.
Not sure if this is in the correct place on the forum.
I have a MK 8 Civic and I am having trouble with unlocking and locking it. It will eventually open/lock but it can take dozens of presses to work.
I have changed the battery and it hasn't fixed it.
If I try to unlock the car manually the alarm goes off.
I have lost my spare key so can't test it.
I want to buy a spare key anyway but not sure if I should until I can solve this problem.
Any suggestions?
