Steering wheel Controls don't work - 2012 civic hybrid
I have a 2012 Civic Hybrid where the steering wheel controls don't work and I need to use the controls to reset the silly TPMS sensor so that red screen has been shining bright for ages.
* Replaced the Controls themselves
* Replaced the clock spring
* Checked fuses.
One other odd thing is that the horn beeps randomly - its like you have to push the horn just the right way even though i can hear the contact switches clicking.
So am i chasing a weak grounding source somewhere? Anyone have any tips where to start? I've been chasing this demon for a while now. I really can't stand popping the airbag off just to poke around and i am a bit leery of what I can test with my multimeter being around airbag sensors and stuff.
Anything I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated!

Does sound like it could be a weak/flaky ground. I don't have a service manual so I can't help you there but as for the multimeter/airbag question as long as you aren't doing anything with the airbag itself you shouldn't have an issue. Checking continuity through an airbag is dangerous as it applies a small voltage to it.
If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
