Rep Power: 0 Head unit install gone wrong? Was already aftermarket setup
Sorry if I'm in the wrong place for this just really trying to understand what went wrong.
08 lx sedan had aftermarket head unit and 1 sub plus amp and another amp to run 4 speakers on a 2 channels had no problems playing it was joying it wasn't really dad friendly had to keep tapping screen to skip songs for the kids.
So I switched it out with a pioneer only like 6 connections all head unit related. Now this is where I'm lost I did not change any speaker or amp connections and as soon as the head unit powers on nothing but deafening distortion like bass almost like the speaker volume is all the way up and amp is pushing 100% power.
If there is any useful information I left out let me know.
it was all functional and in working order all that changed was the head unit. it works in my other vehicle perfectly.

Disconnect the amp for the sub, does the noise go away? If not reconnect the sub amp and disconnect the other amp, does the sound go away?
Are the amps connected to the head unit via RCA cables?

Thank you for replying, I took it apart multiple times and finally got it to work it was the Metra 17 pin harness the big grey connector itself and bought another and haven't any issues yet.
