Help! 2008 Honda Civic no start and will not communicate with ECU
Help! 2008 Honda Civic no start and will not communicate with ECU
Hi have a 2008 civic was in minor accident light damage to front bumper. Bought it from an insurance auction. Will not start and the brake light on display is on. Will not communicate with engine computer but will read air bag codes. Right now it is at Honda dealership and they are mystified. Tried swapping ecu same problem also swapped fuse block by driver side kick panel same problem. Anyone have any ideas before Honda charges me more then the cars worth with diagnostics and no resolution? Thanks in advance.

Whoever sold the car at the auction lied about how bad the damage is. Harness may be crushed/pinched somewhere under the hood. Could be all sorts of problems. I don't get why people buy these cars

Thanks for your concern. Not the case with this one. Seller was insurance company and no structure/ frame damage not the first civic I have fixed in twenty years.
