trunk rattle
I am actually new to the forums so please forgive me if this has been brought up again .. but on my '01 LX Coupe i have the most annyoing rattling sound comign from the back. It sounds like its that little deck where the speakers and stuff are .. and its not the speaker grill. Any ideas on what it could be .. do any other of you have that rattle?

If its still under warrenty take it to the dealer, this is a problem all the 7th Gen coupes have. The plastic rear speaker deck isn't tight enough against the metal frame. I bitched twice about this problem to Honda and they finally fixed it right, my 02 EX coupe had many rattles, some bad some not so bad, but they did drive me nuts. Also the middle brake light in the rear deck could also be loose, you can jam a match book up in there through the trunk to fix that problem temp.

Yep, my rear deck has finally started to rattle after 17k miles. It started about a week ago actually.
I haven't heard it since. I guess I will get back there to fix it at some point. I have another rattle in the moonroof that needs to be addressed first. Luckily, the roof is an easy fix.

You say your deck rattles....Have you ever replaced your stock rear speakers? Was your deck ever out of the car? If it was then you may be experiencing what I experienced after installing my aftermarket kenwood 6X9's. I solved my problem by taking foam airconditioner insulation and shoving it between the rear deck and the rear window. After I did that, I didnt have any rattle. It is alot cheaper to try this first than using Dynamat. It only costs $3 for the insulation.
