Exclamation Gas Needle will Not Read Gas.

Hello,

In my Wifes 99 Neon DOHC
The Gas Needle Stays on ZERO
And the Low Gas light will not go off.

We know that there is no leak, becuase
we still get the same amount of miles on a tank of gas.

Where do I start looking for the problem
and How ??

Thanks

Sounds like the sensor is shot. You might need a new sensor or float in the tank.

Where is the Sensor ussually located and how do you get at it...

I would really hate to try and take the tank out.

It's in the tank... it senses how much gas is remaining. Remove the back seat bottom and see if you can get at it. I was kinda surprised to see there was an access panel and a wire harness underneath it in my car... and thats what it is.
