car takes a while to start

I have an 03 with just under 4k miles. Sometimes when I start the car, I have to keep the starter going for a while before it finally starts up. Is this happening to anyone else, what should I do? I have been reluctant to install my intake because of this. I know it is not normal, but the car still starts, so I am clueless, I think I might take it in to have them check it out.

bad ECU code. Take it back to the dealer and have them re-run the code.

well, mine started doing the same thing, takes a little while and a few triesto start it as well as my gas gauge reading completely empty as 4 gallons were gone and when filled up read about 1/4 tank. Im going in wednesday to get it fixed. Ill let you know what the dealer says it is.

Just take the key out, wait a few seconds then put it in. Turn the key to the ACC position for a few seconds so the fuel system can pressurize, then to start the car. This happens on occasion to any 7th gen civic it seems. I believe it has to do with the Immobilzer system not recognizing the key properly.

wat bout giving the accell a good yank, then turn the key half way, let the car warm up then start the engine?
