Crap Crap Crap! my seat is rocking
I have taken to the dealer twice and they keep saying its normal. My service advisor admitted there was a problem but after waiting 2.5 hours the "mechanic" wrote that it was normal and they compared to another civic. They said its a "Feature of the armrest" no joke. This is bullshit, I got the manager and he refused to admit that the rocking was bad. This is the dealer where I get all my stuff done, buy my parts, and know alot of people that work there. Tomorrow Im calling and talking to someone higher up- my friend that works there said this chain of dealers is all about keeping a customer and they will fix it if I persist on it.

Is anyone experiencing seat SLIDING?
I had my driver seat rock (at the pivot point, at the lower back), and I paid $2 for a TSB and they f ix ed it by changing the bushings....
Now, the entire seat slides forward just a bit (or back) on stop/go... Annoying as hell, and I'm out of warranty
Any ideas?

My seat started rocking recently, and today I was bringing my car in for some service anyway, so I mentioned that.
I called up tonight, to see if it was ready to pick up, and they told me they were replacing the "seat assembly". I don't know if that means the whole seat or not, but I guess they ignored that the TSB said about changing the bushing or whatever, and decided to replace a lot more than that.
I'll update tomorrow when I get my car back.

The rocking problem mainly affects cars with height adjustable seats. It is caused by the worn plastic bushing used in the height ajusting mechanism. The fix is to replace it with a metal bushing per instruction in the TSB.
