Stock Brakes ?

How long should your stock brakes last if you do a 50/50 mix of highway and city driving?

You can't put a life span on brakes, it all depends on where and how you drive. Some people brake hard and short, others ride thier brakes, so its really based on the driver. I would think though IMO that you should get around 40,000 up to 50,000 on stock brakes, keeping in mind that its normal driving, (no racing or fast turns, etc.)

You'll know when you need brakes because the "squeelers" on the pads will make a lot of noise. (at least they're supose to.)

if u really wanna kno, take off the wheels n inspect the brake pad. then you'll exactly kno when to change them. i learned that the hard way on my moms car. i didnt change the brake pads until it was all rubbing metal to metal. it wasnt that bad tho. good thing i changed them right away. if ur ever worried, just check them yourself. n then u'll be happy u checked cuz u'll kno how much pad u got left.
